About the Thesis Program
We are seeking to support Ecuadorian thesis students, especially those with a focus in biology or the environment. Collect field data for your project at Wildsumaco Wildlife Sanctuary, and use our research facilities at Wildsumaco Biological Station.
Requirements

Enrolled or in the process of being enrolled in an undergraduate, master’s, or doctorate program, where a research thesis or dissertation is a requirement to complete the program.
-
Students that we support are generally expected to stay 1-4 months onsite and use Wildsumaco as a major portion of their project.
-
While students are expected to prioritize their own projects, ideal students will assist with other projects and organizational activities.
What’s Included
-
Lodging in Wildsumaco Biological Station’s dormitory
-
Three homemade meals per day
-
Access to Wildsumaco Wildlife Sanctuary
-
Access to research facilities (laboratory coming soon!) and research equipment on a case-by-case basis
Please note that we do not always have funding to support student projects.
