Emerging Professionals Fund
Help launch the next generation of Ecuadorian environmental leaders. The Emerging Professionals Fund provides micro-grants for thesis students, interns, and fellows pursuing environmental research, science communication, or sustainable development projects linked to the Sumaco Biosphere Reserve.
We aim to support projects that are both individually-tailored and aligned with Sumaco Conservation’s mission.
We are currently seeking to fund several early-career professionals beginning in early 2026 and will continue to do so each year.
What we support
We support room & board at WildSumaco Biological Station for an extended stay, travel to and from the station, essential equipment, and Sumaco Napo-Galeras National Park entrance fees if needed. Recipients will also have access to WildSumaco Biological Station’s research facilities. Awardees will also have the opportunity to be mentored by Sumaco Conservation’s staff.
